The face behind A Cure For Writer's Block

"I don't really know what I'm doing, I just know I don't want to go to school."

I'm sorry to disappoint, but yes, I am the face behind ACFWB. I'm Yasmine, an 18-year-old-fool who had no clue what she was doing when she started a Tumblr blog in her first year of GCSE's. I distinctly remember arguing with my mum about wanting to answer my friends online and help them with their work instead of studying for my finals. That's where that tagline came from...

At school I was always taught to think outside the box and create something different, but when it came down to it, we never 'had the time' or 'needed to move on to more important subjects of study'. Writing became the outlet I needed to cope with a lot of things and I guess that's why I've grown so much as a person in such a short space of time. My life is one of those coming-of-age stories where you want to punch the protagonist in the face. I am the protagonist.

Recently A Cure For Writer's Block hit 26k followers and I could never be grateful enough for each person who passed through my blog. Even on my worst days, I found the blog was my happy place and it still is after almost 3 years. I really hope I can keep this blog alive and continue to help writer's across the globe, you never cease to amaze me and I hope I am somewhat a quarter of that in your opinion! Lots of new things will be happening and a great amount of you have requested things that I am currently working on, so please stay tuned...
